I was lucky enough to spend 3 training-filled days visiting accounts and staff in Chicago! The windy city turned out to be the rainy city, but the friendly faces made up for my soggy state. I loved training our accounts. From Haberdash, a mens clothing store + apothecary to Smith & Davis, a beautiful salon in Lincoln Park, I repeatedly found myself in niche spots that inspired me to update everything from my hairstyle or my closet. This past weekend, I had my first summer picnic in the park! I must say, it was THE perfect day for it - not too hot, a nice breeze and lots of white puffy clouds. Here’s how M+G got me ready for my day out!

Andrew Goetz and I were invited to attend a panel discussion with Roberta (Robbie) Kaplan—the attorney that represented Edie Windsor in front of the Supreme Court to overturn DOMA. The event was hosted by JP Morgan’s Private Banking Division—a long time support of LGBT financial concerns. The panelists spoke to a group of 100 (we are 99 and 100) about the implications of the decision on taxes, wealth management, business and employment, marriage, health care, etc. It was an inspirational evening of law, taxes and personal stories—with a midtown view of Manhattan from the 50^th floor!—for MALIN+GOETZ to be included in support of equality!!!
